AC Milan finds themselves trailing behind the top two teams in the Serie A standings but still harbors hopes of clinching the championship.
Currently, the Rossoneri have amassed 23 points, trailing Inter Milan by eight points at the summit and Juventus by six points in the second position.
With a record of seven wins, two draws, and three losses, Milan has shown both promise and setbacks this season. In their recent four Serie A matches, I Diavolo Rosso experienced a dry spell with two defeats and two draws.
Despite this dip in performance, doubts arise regarding Milan’s title contention. However, Stefano Pioli emphasizes that Milan isn’t fixating too far into the future in terms of their championship chances.
“With 26 games still to go, many teams believe they are in the race for the Scudetto, and there are around 80 points on the table. That should not be our focus,” Pioli stated in an interview with Calciomercato.
“We need to focus on tomorrow. Then, we’ll think about the Champions League and so on from time to time. Our mindset should be about securing victories once again,” he added.
The upcoming challenge for Milan involves a clash with Fiorentina in the ongoing Serie A campaign. The faceoff between the Red and Blacks and La Viola is scheduled for Sunday (26/11/2023) at 2:45 AM WIB.
