Juventus closely monitored Bellingham in 2019 during his tenure at Birmingham City. However, the club faced rejection from the English player.
Bellingham opted to stay at Birmingham before making a move to Borussia Dortmund. With the German club, Bellingham began attracting attention from top European teams.
Former Juventus Head of Talent Scout, Matteo Tognozzi, expressed regret over the missed opportunity to acquire Bellingham.
“It’s a significant regret. In 2019, we were close; I had met with him and his family, but he decided to continue his development at Birmingham,” stated Tognozzi in an interview with Tuttosport.
Subsequently, Bellingham was recruited by Real Madrid in the summer of 2023. With Los Blancos, the 20-year-old midfielder has delivered impressive performances.
Jude Bellingham has, to date, scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 14 appearances for Real Madrid. The English national team midfielder also recently secured the Golden Boy 2023 award.
