In a stunning turn of events, Kai Havertz emerged as the catalyst driving Arsenal to the top of the Premier League table. Manager Mikel Arteta expressed his satisfaction, stating that Havertz’s impact came at the perfect moment.

The clash between Arsenal and Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium in the ongoing Premier League, early morning on Sunday (26/11/2023), unfolded with high stakes. The Gunners secured a 1-0 victory courtesy of Kai Havertz’s decisive goal in the 89th minute.

The German maestro entered the game in the 79th minute, replacing Gabriel Martinelli, and proved to be the linchpin in Arteta’s tactical maneuvering. The substitution yielded sweet results for the Arsenal boss.

“His goal came at the perfect time, and it was an execution reminiscent of performances by great players,” remarked Arteta to TNT Sports.

Havertz’s goal originated from a pinpoint cross by Bukayo Saka to the far post. Kai Havertz, with a precise header, guided the ball through the gap between the goalkeeper Mark Flekken’s legs.

This marks Havertz’s second goal in the Premier League this season, breaking a goal-scoring dry spell since his arrival from Chelsea.

With this result, Arsenal surges to the summit of the Premier League standings with 30 points, surpassing both Manchester City and Liverpool in the process.
