Miralem Pjanic, a former Juventus player, steps into the defense of Allegri, subtly referencing the Bianconeri’s consistency.
Allegri made his comeback to Turin in the summer of 2021, following a successful five-year stint where he clinched an impressive 11 trophies, including five Scudetti.
However, the dynamics at Juventus have shifted, presenting Allegri with a different scenario. Despite this, he guided Juventus to a fourth-place finish in his first two seasons of his second tenure.
In the previous season, Allegri’s Juventus reached the finals in both the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup.
In the last campaign, Allegri’s adept touch could have secured Juventus a top-three finish. However, due to financial violations by the club’s leadership, Juventus faced a points deduction, resulting in a seventh-place finish.
As the current season unfolds, Juventus finds itself in the Scudetto race. The Black and White sit comfortably in the Serie A standings, just two points adrift of table-topping Inter Milan.
Miralem Pjanic, having collaborated with Massimiliano Allegri for three years at Juventus, emphasizes that Allegri has proven himself as one of the world’s top coaches.
Pjanic asserts, “You can’t please everyone, and certain criticisms usually come from the same people, but they don’t affect him. Those involved in football know Allegri’s work is successful. It’s no coincidence that he’s sought after by the world’s biggest clubs, such as Real Madrid.”
“He knows exactly what he has and, based on that, knows how to play to secure victories, and he will play that way. And he does bring victories, that’s for sure. Even in the last season, with everything that happened, with key players almost never available, he brought us into the top-four contention. And this season, I am confident Juventus will compete for the Scudetto until the end. I have no doubt because I know that with him, you have certainty,” concludes Pjanic about Allegri.
