At 35, Benzema departed Real Madrid to join Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League last summer. Despite grappling with injuries, he has notched up an impressive nine goals in just 13 appearances. His most recent feat saw him net three goals against Abha in the ongoing Saudi Arabian League, marking his name on the scoresheet in the 37th, 67th, and 69th minutes.

This marks Benzema’s inaugural hat-trick donning the Al Ittihad jersey, contributing significantly to his team’s 4-2 victory. Beyond the goals, the French striker also provided an assist for Igor Coronado’s goal in the 54th minute.

On the preceding day, Suarez exhibited a stellar performance, clinching a hat-trick to propel Gremio to a thrilling 4-3 triumph over Botafogo in the Brazilian League. Trailing 1-3, the former Barcelona striker emerged as the hero, scoring three goals in 19 minutes, precisely in the 50th, 53rd, and 69th minutes. With this, he has amassed a total of 14 goals and 10 assists in 28 appearances in the Brazilian League this season.

Their remarkable performances underscore that their quality is far from diminished, even as they approach the twilight of their careers and play outside of Europe. Suarez and Benzema still hold the potential to contribute significantly to their respective teams and vie for trophies at the end of the season.
